On Friday Dave the scientist came with his scientist friends. We had collected manuka from around Taieri Mouth to test the leaves for triketone, a chemical which is a natural herbicide. We selected samples of maunka leaves to send away to the laboratory. We should know in two weeks what the concentration of triketone is in the different samples.
